Another cup, another win...it's that simple!
ANOTHER Trotters' Cup, another Ryan Hryhorec win....it seems that simple these days!
Hryhorec has dominated the provincial events like no other in recent years, including becoming the first trainer in the nation to complete a clean sweep of a state's squaregaiting Cups in 2022.
A regular on the dais in 2023, Hryhorec then won four Cups in 2024, including the Fred Jones Cup, which he captured again at Globe Derby a fortnight ago.
Heading to Port Pirie last night, Hryhorec returned home with the Kadina Trotters' Cup thanks to Regal Attire.
The gelding's latest triumph adds to his Fred Jones, Strathalbyn, Ladbrokes and Victor Harbor Cup wins from last season.
"He has been an amazing addition to the stable since he got here about 18 months ago," Hryhorec said. "He's got eight wins and just as many placings from 17 starts, so he's more than doing his job.
"He was first-up for a couple of months yesterday, but had been working a treat and was going as good as I could have him heading into the race, so I expected a big run from him.
"The great news is he will benefit from that and be better again next time around, which should be in the Victor Harbor Cup on Sunday."
With Dani Hill in the cart, Regal Attire overcame a 20-metre handicap to score from My Used To Be in 2:01.9 over 2530 metres.
Aldebaran Dexta, a stablemate of the winner, was eight metres away third.
