Another Finals clean sweep
PREMIER horsewoman Emma Stewart has completed another clean sweep of the pacing division of the Homegrown Classic Finals in Melton.
Last week Stewart captured both two-year-old categories with Captain Perfect and Looks Perfect.
Breaking his maiden at his fifth start, Captain Perfect is closely-related to 2021 Homegrown Classic winner Narutac Prince.
Unbeaten from two outings, Looks Perfect is from the same family as Our Rocker, which proved too good in the Final for three-year-old colts and geldings this afternoon.
Driven by Mark Pitt, Our Rocker led throughout to account for Ata Rangi and Alfredjohncrusader - a stablemate of the winner.
Rating a slick 1:53 over 1720 metres, the son of Rock N Roll Heaven is undefeated from three starts.
"He's a pretty nice type which comes from a fantastic bloodline," Stewart said. "We've taken our time with him and he shows every indication he can develop into a very serious horse down the track."
Beat Sweet rounded out Stewart's double by rating a quick 1:52.2 with James Herbertson in the cart.
After enjoying the run of the race behind the leader, Beat Sweet cruised to a seven-and-a-half metre win from her stablemate, Tough Shaz.
Ultimate Joy was a metre-and-a-half away third.
