FORMER Australian pacer Shoobee Doo proved too good for his opposition at Harrington Raceway yesterday.

Trained by Dylan Davis, who co-owns the gelding with Michael Casalino, Shoobee was a wire-to-wire winner in the $20,000 Open Pace.

Driven by Corey Callahan, the seven-year-old controlled the pace from his rail post position and never relinquished the lead as he held off Sprocket and McBoogity for his 27th win.

Covering the mile in 1:51.2, Shoobee Doo surpassed $300,000 in earnings.

Elsewhere on the cards, long shot players were treated to a delight when Proper One circled the field late to prevail at huge odds for trainer Carlo Poliseno and owner Louis Tomczak junior.

With Cody Poliseno in the cart, Proper One paid a whopping $148.60 on the Tote.

Driver Mike Cole scored with George and Tina Dennis' Last Gunfighter in a sub-featured $15,000 event for pacers.

Trained by Joe Columbo, the son of Rocknroll Hanover was victorious in wire-to-wire fashion over Got The Mojo and Wichita Lineman.

Allan Davis and Corey Callahan each had driving doubles.
