Australia's fastest three-year-old 'on the market'

HE'S quickly developed into one of Australia's most promising youngsters and he could be yours..."for the right price".

A handy two-year-old in 2024, Stormy Woods has reached another level this season with four wins and second from five starts.

Beginning the term with a victory at his home track in Mount Gambier, Stormy Woods had two more starts before being sent to New South Wales horseman Seaton Grima.

"He is too good a horse to be running for the prizemoney here, so we had to think further afield," part-owner Phil Woods said.

"It was either travel long distance to Melton, race against open company at Globe Derby or send him elsewhere, so we made the decision to send him to Seaton.

"He has certainly lived up to expectations since he's been there."

The son of The Storm Inside is unbeaten from two starts for Grima, including becoming the fastest three-year-old in the nation with his 1:50.6 Newcastle success.

Stormy Woods then followed up with an eye-catching triumph against open age horses in Goulburn last Sunday.

"He went well again on the weekend," Woods said. "We are very excited about how far he can go.

"That said, he is on the market and for the right price we will sell him.

"While we have him though, we'll be aiming at the Queensland Derby in a couple of months."
