Bold prediction for stable acquisition
Bold Medley Jujon

HE'S no stranger to having a high class pacer in his stable, so when Kevin Pizzuto predicts big things for a horse in his care, it pays to listen.

Pizzuto is best-known for his association with former superstar Tiger Tara, which he prepared to capture harness racing's 'Holy Grail' - the Inter Dominion.

Tiger Tara was also triumphant in the Group One Canadian Club Sprint at Club Menangle, along with the A G Hunter and Victoria Cups in Melton on his way to earning $2,375,065.

Overall, Tiger Tara was retired with 37 wins and 40 placings from 112 starts.

Which brings us back to Pizzuto's newest potential topliner, Bold Medley Jujon.

Recently purchased by Pizzuto on behalf of stable clients, Bold Medley Jujon was runner-up upon debut for his new owners before scoring at Club Menangle last week.

The son of Sweet Lou arrived at Pizzuto's New South Wales base from Queensland with three wins and a second from his previous four starts.

"I saw him going in Queensland and told the owners to jump on him," Pizzuto said. "I felt he showed a lot of promise, especially plenty of speed.

"I've been impressed with him since he arrived and rate him as a nice horse.

"In fact, I've got such an opinion of him, I'll be aiming him at the sprints in the new season with an eye towards getting him into the Miracle Mile!"

While the $1million Miracle Mile remains a long term target, Bold Medley Jujon will be back at Club Menangle on Saturday night to tackle a Christmas Gift heat.

To be driven by Josh Gallagher, the son of Sweet Lou has drawn to search for the front from barrier three.

"He is a brilliant beginner and we will be looking to lead from there," Pizzuto said. "It's a solid field and they are all dangers when you race at Menangle as it is such a fair track, but I've got no doubt he is the one to beat.

"He'll definitely make his way into the Final, which will then see him out for the season and he'll enjoy a bit of time off."
