Overandout

CONDITIONS are against him, but that doesn't mean Overandout can't continue his winning streak.

Set to race in Melton tomorrow night, Overandout has drawn barrier nine over 1720 metres for trainer Robert Evans.

Boasting four victories from his last five starts, Overandout rounded out a hat-trick by shaking off a 50-metre handicap in Cranbourne on June 30.

Although the son of Majestic Son hasn't raced for seven weeks, Evans stated Overandout is "fit and ready to go".

"He hasn't had a break, he's been in work the whole time," Evans said. "I just haven't been able to find suitable races for him because of the poor programming.

"I've entered him for four races and they've all fallen over!

"He is great from the stand, but they are becoming a joke...I know he won from 50 metres at his last start, but he only just fell in and you can't keep breaking their hearts.

"This week is also going to be hard for him over the short and from a poor draw, but he should be running along at the finish."

To be driven by James Herbertson, Overandout is midrange in betting at $11, with Ebonys Avenger the $3.50 favourite from the pole.

"Ebonys Avenger got home great at her last start and should be right in it from the draw," Evans said. "That said, I consider Exalted the one to beat from two."
