Cups King claims top throne
CLASSY performer Regal Attire joined an elite group of squaregaiters last night.
In front of a sell-out crowd during the state’s awards function, Regal Attire was named South Australian Horse of the Year by Harness Racing SA.
As such, the seven-year-old became just the third trotter to secure the coveted title since its inception in 1986.
Lenin was the ground breaker in 1993 followed by Rocknroll Baby in 2018.
Rocknroll Baby created her own slice of history by becoming the first trotting mare to carry the crown
In what was a stellar 2024, Regal Attire won four Cups to also be a unanimous choice for the Trotter of the Year title.
Trained by Ryan Hryhorec, the son of Muscle Hill secured the Fred Jones, Strathalbyn, Ladbrokes and Victor Harbor Cups.
Hryhorec also prepared Miss Idaho to be the 2023 South Australian Horse of the Year.
