PREMIER horsewoman Emma Stewart continued her stranglehold on the Breeders' Crown last night.

Dominating the futurity like no other during the past decade, Stewart had won 12 of 18 the Two-Year-Old Finals since 2016 going into the Melton meeting.

Successful in one Final each year, Stewart completed three clean sweeps of the two Finals in 2019, '20 and '23.

It is almost identical in the three-year-old division, with Stewart once again triumphant in 12 of 18 Finals since 2016.

Stewart's haul includes winning all eight Finals during the past four years, as well as a clean sweep in 2018.

Before being discontinued in 2023, Stewart won 10 of 16 the Four-Year-Old Finals, including three clean sweeps!

Fast forward to this year's Finals and Stewart has once again captured the four pacing deciders.

Loucasso and Arrhythmia were in a class of their own among the two-year-olds, while Captain Perfect and Beach Diamond reigned supreme in the three-year-old categories.

Stewart's team also filled two quinellas and the first five across the finish in the Final for two-year-olds fillies!

If that wasn't enough, Stewart won the only non Breeders' Crown race on the card - Vale Neville Gath Pace - with Petracca.

"It was a terrific night for the stable, and more importantly, for our owners," Stewart said. "We knew we had a strong hand in the Finals and we're very pleased with the results.

"The Breeders' Crown is one of the main targets each season and we've been very fortunate to have enjoyed a fair bit of success in it."
