IN WHAT is becoming the 'norm', premier trainer Emma Stewart has dominated another round of Breeders' Crown heats.

Two nights ago Stewart won five of the seven three-year-old qualifiers in Bendigo - two for colts and geldings and three for fillies.

Stewart's winners also led home a quinella and a trifecta, with each of her 19 runners making their way into the semis!

Last season Stewart won five of the six three-year-old heats, with her stable also registering two quinellas and a trifecta, which saw her qualify 12 for the second round!

Heading to Maryborough today, Stewart was triumphant in five of the six two-year-old heats - again, two for colts and geldings and three for fillies.

Along with her winners, Stewart registered a trifecta and a placegetter, with all of her 12 starters progressing to the next round.

Last season Stewart won three of the seven two-year-old heats, with three seconds and four thirds, resulting in 18 stable representatives qualifying for the semis!

In 2020 Stewart and her partner Clayton Tonkin won six of the seven two-year-old heats and three of the six three-year-old heats in which they had a runner.

That means Stewart's squad will consist of 31 of next week's 96 semi finalists.

“Friday night's heats produced some terrific results for the team and it is pretty amazing for that to be the case again today,” Stewart said.

"We are especially happy for our owners as these are the kind of races any owner wants to be a part of, so it is always great when we can work towards delivering that.

“Hopefully we will have a bit of luck in the semis in Melton next Saturday.”

For the record, Stewart's latest haul was led by Tempting Tigress, Major Delight, Perfect In Pink, Techys Watching and The Lost Storm.

Tempting Tigress and Techys Watching are unbeaten from three starts, while Major Delight stretched her perfect record to seven with a track record 1:53.3 over 2190 metres.

Last weekend Major Celebrity became the third fastest filly of her age in the world by covering the mile in 1:50.3 to capture a Breeders' Challenge Final at Club Menangle.
