Domination set to continue

Domination set to continue
Let Her Roll

SATURDAY night's Melton meeting appears to be at the mercy of Emma Stewart yet again.

As she has in recent years, the record-breaking trainer has a stranglehold on the Australasian Breeders' Crown Pacing Finals in quality and quantity.

Seven heats were conducted for two and three-year-olds at the same venue last week, with Stewart emerging triumphant in six.

As for the 'other' heat, Stewart's runners finished second, third and fourth!
Overall, Stewart has 19 runners across the four Finals, including three short-priced favourites and a second elect.

Just to highlight Stewart's domination of the futurity, last season she won 14 of the 16 qualifiers, before completing a clean sweep of the Finals, with her haul including a quinella and trifecta.

In 2022, she won 10 of the 13 heats for two and three-year-old pacers, seven semis and three Finals.

It was a similar case in 2021 as Stewart secured eight of 13 heats, five of eight semis and three Finals.

In 2020 as Stewart and her partner Clayton Tonkin won 10 of the 13 heats, six of the eight semis and two Finals!

A year earlier, Stewart notched wins in seven of the nine heats, five of the eight semis and two Final.

If that isn't impressive enough, Stewart won all nine heats in 2018 before securing six of the eight semis and three Finals.

Overall, between 2018 and Saturday night, Stewart has won 90 of the 119 pacing races for two and three-year-olds at a strike rate of 75.63.

Of Stewart's prospects this weekend, Let Her Roll shapes as the stable's best shot at $1.60 from barrier six in the Two-Year-Old Fillies' Final.
