CONNECTIONS of Blue Coman are "mildly confident" the handy squaregaiter can add another feature to his credit on the weekend.

Fresh from his win in Hamilton last Friday, Blue Coman is engaged in Sunday's St Arnaud Trotters' Cup.

The Greg Norman-trained son of Monkey Bones is no stranger to success on the country cup circuit having won the Gunbower Trotters' Cup.

"I'm very happy with his run last week and his work has been terrific," Norman said. "It's a pretty even field and I'm mildly confident he can come out on top."

With Kerryn Manning to take the reins Blue Coman will begin from two on the front row, which has seen the gelding listed on the third line of betting at $5.

Despite his 30-metre backmark Robbie Royale is the $2.50 favourite, with Tennerson splitting the pair at $3.80 from the 10-metre line.

"He certainly gets his chance from the draw," Norman said.

Norman also has Stag Party in the Pacing Cup, with the son of Bettors Delight to appreciate the drop in class.

Also to be driven by Manning, Stag Party has drawn barrier six but slots into five with the removal of the emergency.

"This is more his class compared to his last start in the Four and Five-Year-Old Championship and he will be very competitive again," Norman said.
