Drawn to complete well-deserved win
A FAVOURABLE draw has The Notorious R G B in a solid position to break through for an overdue win at Globe Derby tonight.
Victory has eluded The Notorious R G B since she scored at the same venue last October, with the Tiana McMahon-trained mare runner-up five times during the interim.
The Notorious R G B has also been third on seven occasions.
Two of those seconds have been during her last two outings.
"She seems to be finding one better on the night quite often," McMahon said."That said, I can't really complain as her form has been very consistent"
To be driven by McMahon, The Notorious R G B should settle in a prominent position early.
Betting markets have the daughter of He's Watching kept safe at $8, with Shireen heading the market at $2.50.
Trained by Lane Johnson, Shireen was a winner at the same venue two starts ago before an eye catching second last week.
Johnson's reinsman son Corey will partner the mare from barrier eight.
Going against markets McMahon rates Clarenden Legacy - the $2.80 second elect - as the one to beat from the pole.
"I'm happy with our draw and expect her to go really well again," McMahon said. "It's a handy field with several good chances in it but I think Clarenden Legacy is the one to beat from the draw."
