TOP trotter Watts Up Partytime has switched stables.

Trained by Andy Gath during the past two years, Watts Up Partytime was transferred to Inter Dominion winning horseman Chris Lang and his partner, Sonia Mahar, a fortnight ago.

The son of Majestic Son won 12 races under Gath's guidance, with his victories including a clean sweep of the Group One Great Southern Star on February 1.

Watts Up Partytime won four of his last five starts before being sent for a spell.

"We've had him in the stable for about 10 days and he looks a treat," Lang said. "He'd had a good break and is ready to get going again.

"At this stage we have nothing specific set out for him, but to get him to the races and hope we can emulate the feats he has achieved already.

"Obviously the main races are the priority, but as I said, there is no immediate plan with him."

In other news from the Lang/Mahar team, classy squaregaiter Ollivici is close to a racing return having recovered from a virus, which ruled him out of last month's Brisbane Inter Dominion.

"The virus went right through the stable, with nine out of 10 catching it to varying degrees," Lang explained. "Unfortunately Ollivici was one of the horses which copped it the worst.

"He's over it now, been working fine and we expect to trial him next week."
