Group Two winner sold to American interests
CLASSY pacer Supreme Dominator is likely to have run his last race in Australia.
Although entered in tomorrow night's My Lightning Blue Free-For-All at Tabcorp Park Melton, Supreme Dominator has been scratched from the feature ahead of a pending sale.
Trainer Joe Pace confirmed a sizeable offer was made for the Group Two winner which was "too good to refuse".
As such Supreme Dominator will undergo a vet's examination next week before the deal is completed.
Should all go as expected the son of Bettors Delight will be sold to American interests.
Pace revealed Supreme Dominator will then begin his journey to the northern hemisphere the following week.
"It's disappointing to see him go and he leaves a big void in the stable, but that's racing," Pace said. "An offer which was too good to refuse was made for him and was accepted.
"He'll have a vet check on Wednesday, and once the transaction is complete, he will go to America the following week."
A last start winner in Melton, Supreme Dominator had 39 starts for Pace which netted 13 and 11 placings, with his biggest success coming in last season's Cranbourne Cup.
