Hygain nurturing the industry's future
ALREADY taking care of harness racing's current stars, Hygain is also nurturing the future.
An industry leader, Hygain's award-winning products are a must when it comes to equine welfare, whether it's feed, supplements - or both!
After becoming "dissatisfied with the quality and nutritional standards of feeds available", Greg Manley started Hygain to meet his high standards more than four decades ago.
As for their vision for the future, Hygain is the major sponsor of Victoria's Pony Trot circuit - the foundation for the sport's reinsmen and women.
All willing participants between six and 17 can contest Pony Trot races, which includes tonight's A G Hunter Cup.
Alexander George Hunter was the first chairman of the Trotting Control Board, with the 'big horses' raced in his honour since 1949.
Australia's premier pacers will also compete in their A G Hunter Cup tonight.
Always a keenly contested event, the pony edition consists of a repechage early in the evening followed by the main feature later on the card.
Along with a Cup, the winning driver will also receive a "Hygain goodies bag", as will his opponents.
