AT THE moment there are three, but in the tradition of the cult 1980s movie Highlander..."there can only be one"!

As it stands, three pacers are eligible for Harness Racing Victoria mammoth $1million bonus.

In what can only be described as a phenomenal promotion, HRV will pay the mouth-watering sum to any pacer which captures four of the six specified Cups.

One of those wins has to be in the Hunter Cup in Melton on February 14.

Evergreen veteran Bulletproof Boy became the first eligible after securing the Bendigo Cup on January 10, followed by Kingman which won the Shepparton Cup a week later and Leap To Fame, which secured Ballarat's flagship event three nights ago.

To claim the bonus one of the trio has to win the remaining three legs of the circuit, beginning with Saturday night's Cranbourne Cup.

And just like pretty much every movie, there is a twist in the fourth act.

Another major character has been introduced in the shape of star pacer Swayzee, which heads into the Group One on the back of two impressive victories in Goulburn and Menangle.

Amazingly, Swayzee could prevent all three from the massive payday.

With his star no stranger to being a 'giant killer', astute horseman Scott Ewen remains hopeful Bulletproof Boy can achieve the seemingly impossible again.

"He's done it before, so hopefully he can do it again," Ewen said. "I think the way the field has come together, it brings him right into it.

"I'm certainly upbeat about his chances."

To be driven by James Herbertson, Bulletproof Boy has drawn to settle in a forward position from barrier two.

Of the 'big three', Kingman will begin from the pole, with Leap To Fame will come from gate four, while Swayzee is the widest drawn in the field of seven.

"He will come out at the start and have a look at Kingman, then maybe try to drop in behind him," Ewen said. "I can't imagine Kingman will hand up, which should give us a nice trip.

"That leaves Leap To Fame or Swayzee in the breeze and keeping the tempo on, which has the potential to play into our hands.

"In an ideal world, that thought process is how it will pan out, but we all know it's not an ideal world and absolutely anything can happen in racing."
