IT DIDN'T take South Australian horseman Ryan Hryhorec long to correct an 'anomaly'.

Dominating the state's squaregaiting features in recent years, Hryhorec's status as Cups King suffered a minor blow with a shock defeat in the Victor Harbor Trotters' Cup when his runner Tweedledee finished second behind My Used To Be.

Back in action in Gawler yesterday, Hryhorec was triumphant in the Hambletonian Trotters' Cup with stable star Regal Attire.

Successful in Kadina's flagship event from a 20-metre handicap during his previous outing, Regal Attire overcame a 30-metre back mark on this occasion.

Driven a treat by Dani Hill, the son of Muscle Hill began well to eventually land the perfect one-one trail as Kyvalley Heist worked to the lead.

Angled three-wide around the final bend, Regal Attire dashed to a three-and-a-half metre win from Stockman Peter.

Used To Be A Maid, a stablemate of the winner, was a metre-and-a-half away third.

Rating 2:00.5 over 2550 metres, the gelding took his record to 22 wins and 25 placings from 72 starts for earnings of $238,485.

Regal Attire dominated last season's circuit with wins in the Fred Jones, Strathalbyn, Ladbrokes and Victor Harbor Cups.
