CONNECTIONS of talented pacer Kingman hope he can emulate his stablemate at Club Menangle on Saturday night.

Contesting last weekend's Hondo Grattan Stake, Kingman was unplaced from barrier eight as Bay Of Biscay led throughout from the pole.

Along with the winners' cheque, Bay Of Biscay earned a berth in next week's Chariots Of Fire at the world class venue.

Back for another chance at a spot in the Chariots, Kingman is engaged in the Paleface Adios Stake, where he has drawn the pole!

Pleased with the four-year-old's draw, trainer Emma Stewart is confident Kingman can also make his way into the $250,000 Group One.

"He certainly gets his chance from there," Stewart said. "He will be sharper again this week after two runs from a spell, so we expected a forward showing.

"He did well when runner-up in The Bonanza at his first run back and just had no luck last week from a wide draw.

"We're expecting a very forward showing from him."

TAB Fixed Odds agree with Stewart's assessment and have posted Kingman as a $4.10 favourite.

Stewart will also be represented by Stormryder and Some American which will begin from five and six.

Some American is a $5.50 TAB Fixed Odds chance, with Stormryder at $9

"They are both going well and are ready to make their presence felt," Stewart said. "They've drawn awkwardly in a hot field, but if either gets the right run, he can win."
