Latest domination complete
PREMIER horsewoman Emma Stewart wound-up her latest Vicbred Super Series dominance by completing a double in Melton last night.
Fresh from securing the Finals for two and three-year-old fillies the previous weekend, Stewart captured both four-year-old divisions this time around.
Stewart's Finals results include the first four past the post in the two-year-old decider and the trifecta in the entires' and geldings' Final.
Overall, Stewart's haul in this season's edition of the futurity includes six heats and seven semis.
In recent years Stewart has turned the Vicbred Super Series into her own pet project, including winning 15 of the 21 two, three and four-year-old heats in 2024.
Stewart's 2024 results includes an incredible clean sweep of the eight three-year-old heats in Kilmore, which saw her become just the second trainer to win every race on a card.
Stewart was also successful in nine of the 11 semis in which she had a runner, which equalled her Australian record for the most wins at a meeting!
Just to highlight the numbers further, since 2018 Stewart's remarkable Vicbred performances have seen her win 153 of the 253 pacing qualifiers in which she has had a runner.
That's a strike rate of 60.47 per cent maintained over seven years!
As for latest performance, Stewart was triumphant with talented mare Kiss and rising star Miki To Success.
Driven by Jackie Barker, Miki To Success successfully defended his title by rating 1:53.9 over 2240 metres as his stablemates War Dan Buddy and Sir Jimmy filled the placings.
Ryan Sanderson then reined Kiss to a tough 1:56.5 win from The Answer and Sweetnikkilou.
