Major drop in class
HE'S set to clash against a solid field of open class opponents, but in reality, Captain Ravishing is facing a major drop in class.
Engaged in tomorrow night's Club Menangle meeting, Captain Ravishing will contest the Ultra Air Free-For-All for trainer Jason Grimson.
In what will be his third outing for the genius horseman, Captain Ravishing has drawn barrier nine over a mile.
During his first two starts for Grimson the son of Captaintreacherous finished third in the Group Two Cordina Group Sprint before having no luck in the $1million Garrards Miracle Mile on March 8.
Kept fresh during the past three weeks, Captain Ravishing is a $1.40 TAB Fixed Odds favourite, with Major Perry considered the biggest threat at $6.
A member of the powerful Luke McCarthy stable, Major Perry was successful in 1:50.2 around the world class venue last weekend.
The son of Art Major has drawn to contest for the lead from barrier two.
Grimson will also be represented by $9 chance Fire Fox, which will begin from gate six.
Also a recent addition to Grimson's team, Fire Fox was runner-up behind Major Perry after working to the lead from barrier 10.
