Money keeps coming for Crown favourites
DESPITE their short opening prices, punters are still backing a trio of Emma Stewart’s Breeders’ Crown runners.
Triumphant in their heats and semis, Encipher and Major Delight are predicted to have no trouble repeating the dose during tomorrow night’s Finals at Tabcorp Park Melton.
A recent winner of the Queen Of The Pacific, Ladies In Red is expected to continue her phenomenal record when she contests the Breeders’ Crown Championship on the same card.
Undefeated from eight starts, Major Delight has drawn to maintain her perfect record from the pole.
Originally posted at $1.35, which saw $3000 wagered on the daughter of Bettors Delight, the filly's odds have been crunched to $1.25 after another $7200 was bet.
The latter amount was also placed on Encipher which has come into $1.40 in her bid to successfully defend her Crown title.
Encipher has drawn to search for the lead from gate three.
Winner of last season's Final for three-year-olds, Ladies In Red is a $1.60 shot after $2000 was bet on her from barrier five.
Outside of Stewart’s squad, Rockinwithattitude has been the best backed in the two-year-old trotting division.
Prepared by David Miles, Rockinwithattitude is in from $3.20 to $2.30.
Boasting four wins from her last five starts, Rockinwithattitude has drawn perfectly in gate two.
Sticking with trotters, Cravache Dor has tightened from $4.50 to $2.90 despite his second row draw in the Final for three-year-old colts and geldings.
