PROMINENT horseman Reece Moore registered a personal milestone yesterday.

Moving from Victoria to South Australia last December, Moore notched his 200th training win thanks to his victory at the state's spiritual home - Globe Derby.

Attending the meeting with a sizable squad from his stable, Moore had no luck during his first two attempts at the milestone before The Irishman led home the celebrations.

"I've known for a few weeks I was closing in on 200, so the countdown has been on," Moore said. "I knew it was only a matter of time, but was also wanting to get there as soon as I could.

"I had eight runners in yesterday and was pretty confident I'd get there with one of them.

"In the end it was the luck of the Irish which got me to the line.

"I am proud of the moment as I mainly race castoffs, have no family background in the sport and only learned by working for several trainers over the years."

With Wayne Hill in the cart, The Irishman led throughout from barrier three to score by 13 metres from his stablemate, Love To Deal.

React To Beauty was a neck away third in 2:02.5 over 2230 metres.

Topping off Moore's moment in the spotlight, he prepared Wyattflynn to complete a running double in the following event.

Driven by Hill's sister, Dani, Wyattflynn accounted for Buzz Bomb and Boulder City in 1:58.6 over 1800 metres.

"Heading home with the double was a nice finish to the day," Moore said.
