More winning to do before moving interstate
HER time in South Australia is coming to an end, but Alyce Finnis isn't done yet!
Finnis, along with her husband Jayson, has sold their Mount Gambier property and is moving to Queensland.
Along with their three children - Judd, Sadie and Tilly - and a team of 10 horses, the Finnis' will head to their new home in Lowood before the end of year.
Lowood is located in the Somerset Region, west of Brisbane and a short trip north of Ipswich.
Until then, the Finnis family will continue to make the five-hour drive to Globe Derby, with another trek on the cards tomorrow night.
Finnis has three runners engaged at the meeting, including a pair in the Golden Nursery heats.
Famished and Doug Stewart have drawn barriers six and three in their qualifiers, while Always Dancing will come from four in a South Australia Derby heat.
"If Famished gets it right he will go close," Finnis said. "He galloped during his first start, which wasn't a true indication of him.
"I had his hopples too short, have let them out since and he hasn't missed a beat.
" Doug Stewart and Always Dancing will both benefit from the runs, but are forward enough to be right in it.
"The main aim is to get through to the Finals, where all three will be a lot fitter and very hard to beat."
