FRESH from celebrating a recent milestone, accomplished horsewoman Jodi Quinlan is already closing in on another personal highlight.

Thanks to her success behind promising filly Sky Flair last month, Quinlan notched her 2300th win as a driver.

Quinlan's total includes 19 Group Ones, with the standout among the victories her 2004 Miracle Mile success behind the Lance Justice-trained Sokyola.

As for her pending milestone, Quinlan is edging closer to her 500th triumph as a trainer.

Thanks to her treble in Cranbourne last Sunday night Quinlan's tally is sitting on 495.

"I had no idea I was getting close to 500," Quinlan said. "I'm not really a stats person.

"I didn't know I had 2300 wins as a driver until it was pointed out to me!

"That said, it is nice to get those little milestones over what has been a lifelong journey in the sport."

Quinlan's treble began with Deuce Coupe and Eye See Amour before rounding out the evening with Sky Flair.

"I felt each had a solid change and things worked out well for them," Quinlan said. "Deuce Coupe and Eye See Amour do their thing every time they go around and win when the conditions are right.

"Colin Croft, who owned Sokyola, also owns Deuce Coupe, and even at 92, gets enjoyment out of watching his horses race.

"Sky Flair is a very nice filly, which ran placings in two Group Ones last season and I think she is capable of winning a big race.

"She has her issues, but the ability is there so we will head towards the Vicbred, Crown and Oaks and see how she goes."
