One to beat in ADC
EVEN before the draws were completed, Gary Hall junior was considered the one to beat by a host of his rivals.
With the fields for Sunday's Australian Drivers' Championship released, Hall's prospects appear to have been solidified.
Set to represent Western Australia along with recent Australian Reinswomen's Championship winner Deni Roberts, Hall has several handy drives in the tournament.
Winner of the 2019 edition in Tasmania, Hall will compete against 11 rivals in his bid to become the first dual winner of the tournament.
Two drivers from each state will clash over 10 heats for the honour of the nation's best for 2024.
“It’s always a privilege to represent WA," Hall said. "“Hopefully Deni or I can get the win and make our state proud.
"With so many great drivers competing it won't be easy to win any race and will come down to luck on the night."
Hall has eight drives in the tournament, including two favourites and a pair on the second line of betting.
Even Hall's outsiders are still in the market at $12.
On the other end of the scale, Tasmania's Rohan Hillier has drawn a $21 shot, two at $26 and four at $34!
