Positive vibes from favourable draw
SOHO AMERICANO

A FAVOURABLE draw has given visiting horseman Michael Stanley a positive vibe ahead of this weekend's feature target.

Stanley has made the journey from Victoria to Queensland to contest numerous majors in coming weeks, beginning with Saturday night's Redcliffe Oaks.

Stanley will be represented by Soho Americano in the Group Three, with the filly drawn ideally in the pole.

Rapt with the starting position, Stanley is confident Soho Americano can add to her impressive tally.

Owned by Robert Watson, the daughter of American Ideal boasts nine wins and nine placings from 19 starts, with her victories including the Group Three Raith Memorial at Club Menangle.

Soho Americano was runner-up in the New South Wales Oaks at the world class venue on May 10 before winning at Albion Park last Saturday night.

"I was very happy with her run last week," Stanley said. "She was first-up for six weeks and did well.

"The run has done her the world of good and she will improve this week.

"That said, it is a stronger field this week and she will need to better.

"I couldn't be happier with her draw and she certainly gets her chance from there."
