Power stable to miss Queensland majors
BAY OF BISCAY

LEADING trainer Emma Stewart will miss some of Queensland major events.

Stewart was set to send three members of her stable north for this weekend's features at Albion Park, however, the trio are stuck in Victoria.

Bay Of Biscay and War Dan Buddy were engaged in The Rising Sun, with the former a short priced favourite in the $300,000 Group One.

Harold Smith was due to contest the opening round of the Trotters' Inter Dominion.

Second behind Championship favourite Arcee Phoenix in Melton when first-up from a spell a fortnight ago, Harold Smith had drawn to make his precence felt from barrier two.

Stewart's plans were thwarted after flights north became unavailable.

"It is disappointing," Stewart said. "We had the horses set for this weekend, but now they will be sitting in their yards.

"There is not much we can do about it except move forward and find alternative races for them."

Stewart remains hopeful of making an impact on the carnival via next week's $500,000 slot race, The Protostar, in which she has three runners -Cardigan Dan, Dynamitedan and Loucasso.
