Premier horseman registers "crazy" milestone

RAPT with his tally for the season, premier horseman Ryan isn't finished yet.

Thanks to Peace Of Heaven's success at Globe Derby last Saturday night, Hryhorec registered 150 wins for the year.

Originally hoping to notch a personal best 102, Hryhorec reached the mark on September 29.

Changing his goal to 130, Hryhorec completed the new objective last November, leaving him just 12 local meetings to aim for 150.

"At the start of the year I thought it would be good to simply go one better than my previous best which was in 2023," Hryhorec said. "To get to 130 wins was a massive result and I couldn't be prouder of the team.

"Moving the goal post to 150 seemed pretty much impossible given we only had five weeks to go, but I figured I may as well have had a crack.

"To reach 150 is crazy and I am absolutely rapt with the team and the way everything has come together."

With 192 placings also to his credit, Hryhorec's team has finished in the top three at a strike rate of 56.5 per cent.

Hryhorec's strike rate is actually weakened by often having multiple runners in a race!

Looking forward, Hryhorec has starters in three races in Victor Harbor today, including John Vincent and Star Of Patrick, which are early TAB Fixed Odds favourites in races four and six.

Almighty Fear is the second elect at $3.50 in the eighth.

"I give all three solid chances," Hryhorec said. "We'll just have to see how the day turns out."
