Primed for well-deserved win
SOLID form and a favourable draw have Lil Miss Crocker in a strong position to register another win at Globe Derby tomorrow night.
Successful at the venue three starts ago, Lil Miss Crocker has finished fourth at her two subsequent outings, including last week's South Australia Oaks.
Drawn to find the lead from the pole, the Ingrid Smith-trained filly is a $2.50 favourite in early markets.
"It certainly looks like a winnable race for her," owner Gary Crocker said. "She is racing really well and we were very happy with her effort in the Oaks against some better class fillies.
"This week is somewhat of a drop in class, but not an easy assignment at the same time.
"If she puts in her best and can take advantage of the draw at the start, she is the one to beat."
Rating Ubetonred as the main danger, Crocker is adamant each of the seven runners is capable of scoring with the right run.
Trained by Toby Ryan, Ubetonred is the $3.50 second elect from barrier two.
"Toby's is coming off a win and is also drawn well," Crocker said. "He's got to be the biggest threat.
"If fact, if you look at the betting you can see how evenly the field is matched, so you wouldn't be all that surprised regardless of who wins."
