TOP pacer Swayzee is in for an extremely busy week.

Along with continuing his quest for a $1million bonus, the Jason Grimson-trained gelding will head across the Tasman to contest the New Zealand Cup in a space of five days!

Swayzee is engaged in Friday night's Cherry City Cup in Young, with the $60,000 event doubling as the second leg of Harness Racing New South Wales' bonus-offering Cup circuit.

In what can only be described as a phenomenal promotion, the governing body has promised the mouth-watering bonus to the connections of any pacer which completes a clean sweep of the feature race at all five legs of the Carnival of Cups series.

There is also a $500,000 bonus for any pacer which wins four and a $250,000 bonus for three wins.

By securing the opening leg in Parkes on September 20, Swayzee remains eligible for the seven-figure payout.

As such the son of Rock N Roll Heaven will compete in Young, where he has drawn the outside of the second row over 2887 metres.

Despite his awkward starting position, Swayzee is a $1.90 favourite.

Should the six-year-old take no harm from the outing he will then be flown to New Zealand on Sunday to defend his Cup title 48 hours later.

Swayzee was set to miss the $1million handicap before connections elected to pay a $NZ28,500 late nomination fee last Monday.

To begin from 15, Swayzee will be joined on the Shaky Isles by his half-brother Leap To Fame, which has drawn 11.
