Rounding off Inter Dominion preparations
HIGH class trotter London To A Brick will continue his path towards next month's Inter Dominion when he heads back to Club Menangle on Saturday night.
Runner-up at the world class venue last weekend, London To A Brick is a short-priced favourite in the $50,000 New South Wales Trot Final for four and five-year-olds.
Second in the two-year-old edition at his racing debut, the son of Bettors Delight won the Finals as a three and four-year-old.
Trainer James Rattray is using the feature as a build-up towards the Inter Dominion, which begins with heats at Albion Park on July 5.
London To A Brick is ranked sixth in the Trotters' Championship, which is headed by French-bred stallion Callmethebreeze.
"I've been very happy with his runs, including last week," Rattray said. "He did all the work outside the leader and never gave up.
"Having the Final on this week fits in perfectly with his program as it is two weeks before the Inter starts."
To be driven by Rattray, London To A Brick has drawn barrier four against five rivals.
"I'm not concerned about the draw," Rattray said. "In a small field like Saturday night's no matter where you settle, you're never far off the speed."
