Sassa's Sister's shock success
RANK outsider Sassa’s Sister caused a major upset in yesterday’s mares’ feature at Harrington Raceway.
Driven by Trae Porter, the Eugene Landy-owned pacer scored in 1:53.1 paying $92.40 on the Tote.
Edge of Eternity (9/2) set fractions of 27, 55.2 and 1:23.4, while Precious Alexis applied pressure and held a slim advantage at the top of the stretch.
Sassa's Sister was then fanned wide and was moving fastest of all to sweep by for a length win.
Precious Alexis held second while former Australian pacer Western Secret finished third.
Trained by Jim Porter, the daughter of Rock N Roll Heaven notched her fifth win of the year.
It was also the second time Sassa’s Sister has caused an upset as she was victorious on April 13 at $22
Allan Davis and Montrell Teague each had three wins on the card. Mike Cole had a double.
