She showed champion qualities
THERE is little time for Rockinwithattitude to bask in the glory.
Completing a stellar victory in The Great Square at Albion Park last night, Rockinwithattitude is poised to have "a quiet day or two then be kept ticking along" ahead of returning to the venue next weekend.
The David Miles-trained mare is poised to tackle the $31,160 Trotters' Sprint, with the Group One Trotters' Cup the following week also part of the agenda.
"She did an amazing job last night and I couldn't be prouder of her," Miles said. "I thought London To A Brick may have had us covered at the top of the home straight, but she showed champion qualities by digging deep the way she did.
"Now she will have a quiet day or two then be kept ticking along as we've still got more racing to do.
"Both races coming up are going to be hard, but she's in perfect condition and is going to be very hard to beat no matter what."
With Miles in the cart, Rockinwithattitude was caught wide from barrier six before being sent forward to find the lead as early frontrunner, Lucky Mum, was eased to take a trail.
Pushed to the limit by London To A Brick along the home straight, Rockinwithattitude staved off the challenge to score by a half-neck.
Lucky Mum battled on gamely to be four-and-a-half metres away third.
"I'm just overwhelmed by her," Miles said. "She gave her all and was just so brave.
"I am rapt with everything she has done, especially for her great group of owners."
Registering her fifth Group One success, the daughter of Aldebaran Eagle rated 1:57.1 over 2138 metres to take her record to 18 wins and seven placings from 30 starts for earnings of $430,922.
