Short break before another feature campaign

A SHORT break before another feature campaign is the plan with classy filly Miss Ohana.

Capturing last night's New South Wales Trot Final at Club Menangle, Miss Ohana will be given "a good rest" upon her return to Victoria according to trainer Courtney Laker.

Racing in great form, Miss Ohana also won the Foundation Final at the world class venue three weeks ago.

"She will have a freshen-up now," Laker said. "She has earned a good rest.

"Next time in she has more features such as the Nutrien, Vicbred, Oaks and Princess Of Speed, so she will have a busy end to the season."

Driven by Bailey McDonough during her latest triumph, Miss Ohana led throughout from barrier seven to complete a soft nine-and-a-half metre win from Sebastians Waiting.

Majestic Funds was three metres away third in 1:56.5 over a mile.

"I expected a good run from her, but last night was the best she has ever gone," Laker said. "I was very pleased with the way she ran away from them up the home straight."
