Star Aussie remains unbeaten in USA

STAR Australian pacer Lochinvar Art remains unbeaten in America after another impressive performance at Yonkers Raceway yesterday.

Trained by former New South Wales-based horseman Shane Tritton, Lochinvar Art covered the mile in 1:51 during his third start since crossing the equator.

Driven by Tritton's wife, Lauren, Lochinvar Art began moderately from the pole to be two-back along the pegs before being sent forward along the back straight.

Sustaining a strong sprint, the son of Modern Art cruised to a two-length win from Covered Bridge, with Certifiable a similar distance away third.

Thrilled with the stallion's performance, the Trittons have aimed Lochinvar Art at the upcoming Borgata Series.

To be run in a couple of weeks, the Series is a heat and Final format similar to the Inter Domninion.

Elsewhere on the card, Australian Pacing Gold purchase Leonidas was triumphant in 1:53.3.
