EMMA STEWART

FRESH from dominating the Vicbred Super Series heats, Emma Stewart has blitzed last night's semi-finals in Melton.

Leading into the second round Stewart won 15 of the 21 qualifiers for two, three and four-year-old heats.

Stewart's haul includes an incredible clean sweep of the eight three-year-old heats in Kilmore, which saw her become just the second trainer to win every race on a card.

Shayne Cramp was the first to achieve the feat when he turned the Mildura meeting on July 15, 2014 into a one-act affair.

In April 2022, Stewart went close to completing the card when she won nine of the 10 races in Launceston.

Under the race conditions, Stewart was ineligible for the 'other' event, giving her a perfect record from nine races!

As for her latest power display, Stewart was successful in nine of the 11 semis in which she had a runner.

In doing so, Stewart equalled her Australian record for the most wins at a meeting!

Along with her Launceston onslaught, Stewart won nine Vicbred semis last September.

Stewart's latest semi winners are Showsomejoy, The Lost Storm, Best Deal, Always Hot, Let Her Roll, Kingman, Renewal, Go Miki and Sweet Bella.

Adding to Stewart's night, she prepared three trifectas, four quinellas, two seconds and a third.

Overall, Stewart has qualified 34 runners for next week's Finals.

"To achieve such a result is wonderful for the stable, but more importantly, it is terrific for our owners," Stewart said.

"Our stable is predominantly Vicbred horses, so naturally we have a strong focus on the series.

"They all put in good runs and hopefully they can do the same in the Finals."

Since 2018 Stewart's incredible Vicbred performances have seen the record-breaking horsewoman win 140 of the 218 pacing qualifiers in which she has had a runner.

During the same period, Stewart has captured 25 Group One Finals.

HOOFNOTE: Stewart also captured last night's $100,00 The Bottlemart Stockade at Club Menangle with Oliver Dan as well as Bay Of Biscay and High Above to fill the placings in the $2.1million The Eureka, for a combined team earnings of $802,500 for the evening!
