INMYDREAMS

MAKING decisions while half asleep is a practice Joe Borg is likely to embrace.

Enjoying a solid rate of success over a sustained period, Borg's latest triumph came via a trotter he purchased without being 'fully conscious'.

Having her sixth start for Borg when competing in Bendigo last night, Inmydreams registered her second win, which is completed by a pair of seconds and a third.

"I've bought a couple from Dave Abraham's so one day he called and said 'I got one for you'," Borg explained.

"I was half asleep and said 'send her over', and then when I was fully conscious, I realised what I'd done!

"She's only been out of the placings once and has already turned into a good buy."

Driven by Borg's brother, Charlie, Inmydreams was settled at the tail of the pack from the inside of the second row as Good Heart led the field in 'Indian file'.

Angled away from the pegs at the bell, Inmydreams produced a strong 'death seat' sprint to score by three-and-a-half metres from Brother Joseph.

Spanomarli was six metres away third in 2:01.7 over 2150 metres.

"That was a very nice run from her," Borg said. "Her work has been terrific since her last start a few weeks ago and I knew she was ready to run another big race.

"Charlie summed up the race beautifully and said she hit the line with a bit in the tank.

"She's going to a paddock now to have a deserved break and to let her mature as she's still a baby mentally.

"This has really only been her first prep and I can't see any reason why wont improve next time in."
