Unbeaten filly to emulate star dam
Let Her Roll

UNDEFEATED youngster Let Her Roll is likely to have a short break before being given the opportunity to join her dam on a prestigious honour roll.

Proving too good in Melton on Saturday night, Let Her Roll extended her perfect record to four by capturing the Sapling Stake.

With Mark Pitt holding the reins, the two-year-old led throughout from barrier three to account for Ill Be Gone and Golden Shooz in a slick 1:54.9 over 1720 metres.

The quinella was prepared by top horseman, Clayton Tonkin.

Naturally thrilled with Let Her Roll's performance, Tonkin has yet to select an immediate target for the filly, but has earmarked several long term missions such as the Vicbred Super Series, Tatlow Stake and Australasian Breeders' Crown.

By Sweet Lou, Let Her Roll is from dual Group One winner, Rocknroll Magic, which was triumphant in the time-honoured Tatlow at two.

As a three-year-old, Rocknroll Magic secured the Vicbred and Breeders' Crown Finals.

Rocknroll Magic won a Vicbred heat and semi as a two-year-old before finishing third in the Final.

"She is in for a busy second half of the season," Tonkin said. "There are numerous big races for her, which she will be very hard to beat in.

"The Vicbred is the first of them, and with a bit of luck, she can make up for her dam's loss in the Final.

"The Tatlow about a month later is another we are looking at followed by the Breeders' Crown.

"With that in mind, she's likely to have a short break now before we rev her up again."
