Unlikely the most likely!
AS FAR as tonight's Emerging Stars heat is concerned Most Unlikely is ironically named.
Set to contest the qualifier at Globe Derby, Most Unlikely is rated as the one to beat in the battle for a berth in next week's $25,000 Final.
Racing in solid form with a win and two seconds from her last four starts, the Christopher Massey-trained mare is listed as a $3 favourite
To be driven by Dean Girardi, Most Unlikely will begin from barrier five.
Massey, however, isn't as confident in Most Unlikely's prospects.
"It's a terrible draw," Massey said. "I don't see how she can be favourite from there.
"She doesn't have much gate speed, so will be stuck out in no-man's land or have to go back.
"I would think Stormy Gale from the pole would be favourite."
Despite the early setback, Massey hasn't given up hope of qualifying for the decider.
"If she can at least make it into the Final I will be happy," Massey said. "Although the Final will be a lot harder.
"Just to be in it will be a good result and maybe she can finish well enough to earn some good money."
