Unlucky for some, but life-changing potential for one!
IT'S a number regarded as unlucky by many, but for one fortunate bidder 13 could be a life-changing digit.
An exceptionally-bred colt, Lot 13 is tipped to be Sunday's Australian Pacing Gold Sales' topper.
By Downbytheseaside, the yearling is part of an impressive catalogue ready to enter the ring on the Gold Coast.
The first foal from handy mare Samara Crocker, the youngster hails from a highly-successful family littered with Group winners.
Samara Crocker is a daughter of award-winning matron Aratusa Lass, which registered 18 wins and 18 placings before being retired to stud.

Surpassing her racing feats in the breeding barn, Aratusa Lass boasts a perfect record from eight starters, with her progeny including Group One star, Major Crocker.
Last season Major Crocker became the first South Australian-bred pacer to earn more than $1million.
Each of Aratusa Lass' foals have been bred by Gary Crocker, who also raced the mare.
"When I think back to buying Aratusa Lass for $2500 and the way she has gone on as a broodmare it just goes to show fairy tales can happen," Crocker said.
"She's got a perfect record from eight starters, with another of her sons, Adam Crocker, also racing in America alongside Major Crocker.
"I've got a sister to Major which has just turned two and the mare recently had another Art Major filly as well."
As for his latest offering Crocker is positive Lot 13 can continue the family's strong racing feats.
"He's a beautiful type," Crocker said. "With conformation and looks to match his bloodline he's got everything going for him."
