Welcome prizemoney increases
THE South Australian Harness Racing Club in conjunction with Harness Racing SA are excited to announce the return of racing to Globe Derby Park on Saturday night which will also see the commencement of prizemoney increases.
Following extensive renovations to the main track and the installation of a new training track, the SAHRC has furthered its investment in the harness racing industry with the goal that Globe Derby Park will remain the premier harness racing facility in the state.
The SAHRC has formed an agreement with HRSA to contribute more than $1million in prizemoney for races at Globe Derby Park over the next two years. An outline of how this looks is set out below.
- $8000 per Saturday night meeting (or equivalent premium meeting) spread over multiple races per meeting, rotating through various rating bracket, age, and gait
- $7000 per month towards a $15,000 race, rotating through various rating brackets
- A contribution towards a $25,000 race every two months, rotating with a focus on the higher brackets
- An allocation towards a slot race, or similar, in 2025
Along with the track redevelopment, the SAHRC proudly announces increased prizemoney for race meetings at Globe Derby Park that it believes will further improve the depth and quality of racing in this state.
The SAHRC have partnered with the Seymour Group, and it is through their leadership and generosity that this increase to stake money levels for harness racing in South Australia is possible.
