Younger sibling's title in his sights
TOP pacer Swayzee is expected to have little difficulty booking another clash with his younger sibling this weekend.
Engaged in Saturday night's Cordina Group Sprint at Club Menangle, Swayzee is aiming for a berth in next week's Miracle Mile at the same venue.
The gelding's half-brother - superstar Leap To Fame - booked his passage into the southern hemisphere's premier sprint by capturing last week's Newcastle Mile.
Leap To Fame won last season's $1million Garrards Miracle Mile in 1:48.3.
Swayzee claimed honours during their previous bout when he beat Leap To Fame by a head in the A G Hunter Cup in Melton on February 1.
Leap To Fame has subsequently secured the Cranbourne Cup and Newcastle Mile, while Swayzee was runner-up in the Albury Cup, with the defeat ending his chance of securing a lucrative $1million country cups bonus.
As for his pending assignment, Swayzee has drawn barrier five for trainer Jason Grimson.
The son of Rock N Roll Heaven slots into four with the removal of the emergency, which has resulted in TAB Fixed Odds listing him as a $2 favourite.
Grimson will also be represented by former boom pacer Captain Ravishing, which will make his debut for the stable.
Drawn gate eight, Captain Ravishing is first-up since finishing second in 1:52.9 at Gloucester Park on November 29.
A recent trial winner in 1:52.3, Captain Ravishing has been kept safe in betting at $11.
Grimson also has Im The Falcon and Aardies Express in the second sprint, with the pair drawn three and seven.
